Located on a tranquil country lane, approximately five miles from the ski hills, Gite La Tremblante is a spacious property offering comfortable modern accommodation. The five rooms feature gorgeous wood floors, and have a bit of a modern country cottage feel to them. All have a private bathroom and feature lovely views out over the gardens. La Tremblante has a small lounge with pool table where guests can relax and socialise, as well as a lovely terrace looking out over the gardens. A hearty country-style breakfast is served every morning; in the cosy dining room in winter and on the garden terrace in the warmer months. The hosts will be happy to offer local dining recommendations for the other two meals. Many summer guests are mountain bikers, enjoying easy access to the P’tit Train du Nord bike path. Winter visitors are often skiers skiing at the nearby slopes, or those enjoying a romantic and cosy escape.
Guests described the hosts, France and Rejean, as exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They seemed to go “above and beyond” when it came to accommodating their guests, with a number being impressed that they were quite happy to accommodate late, or otherwise awkward, check-in times with pleasure.
Guests were clearly impressed with the breakfast, which France cooked and served every morning. The general feeling seemed to be that it was prepared with love, and was top class, in both presentation and taste.
A number of guests were delighted to find that the B&B's gardens were a favourite destination for local deer. While described as wild, it seems they were quite used to human presence and so perhaps allowed guests to get a bit closer than is normal.
A number of guests mentioned that the house is quite close to the road and that it did see some car and truck traffic at night. They mentioned that it does not seem that the windows are soundproof, so they could easily hear the road noise from their road facing room.
A number of guests complained that the shower in their bathroom was a bit small. It was said to be up against the side of the sloping ceiling, and so the shower head was much too low, even for people of regular height.
