The Beachside Resort Hotel is appropriately named and provides extremely convenient access to Gulf Shores Public Beach, just a few meters away. This makes the hotel the ideal base for a beach-focused holiday. The hotel also provides its own pool and sun deck with great views of the Gulf.

Rooms at the hotel are classic in style and provide guests with a number of great amenities including flat screen television with cable access, microwave and mini-refrigerators, coffee makers and writing desks. Selected rooms have great views of the Gulf and king rooms also feature pull-out sofas.

Beachside Resort Hotel provides a number of classic resort-style general amenities that one would expect from a hotel with a beach destination. An outdoor pool on the third floor with sun deck provides spectacular views of the entire Gulf, free Wi-Fi in all public areas and ample parking and an ideal location, close to Gulf State Park Pier, Shelby Lake and a host of shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate area.

The hotel has recently instituted a no-pets policy across the board which may be disappointing to those who love to travel with their pets.

The continental breakfast options are limited to cereals and pastries mainly with juice and tea or coffee included. There are no hot items such as eggs or sausages, something some may find disappointing in a resort hotel.

The hotel is quite old and still features original décor which is quite dated and out of style. In addition to the outdated décor, basic maintenance issues plague the building, with rusted metal surfaces and peeling paint adding to the outdated look and feel of the property.
