The 4 star Hotel Am Griebnitzsee is in Babelsberg outside Potsdam. As its name suggests the main building is located right on the bank of the lake. An annex (called Babelsberg), accessible by an underpass, is situated across the road. There are 40 rooms and suites, split in types between Am Griebnitzsee and Babelsberg. Am Griebnitzsee has a choice of lake or land view, while the suites are all in Babelsberg. All rooms have en-suite facilities, hair dryer, minibar and cable TV. Some rooms are designated non-smoking and one room is equipped for wheelchair users. Wifi is available for a charge. Reception is open 24 hours. Guests can garage their cars in the underground car park, or there are limited spaces outside reception. The restaurant has a large terrace overlooking the lake for eating out in fine weather. The rail station is just across the road from where there are frequent trains to Berlin (about 30 minutes) in one direction and Potsdam (about 10 minutes) in the other.
