Atix Hotel represents the new face of authentic luxury hospitality in Bolivia. Atix, “the one who thrives” en Quechua, aims to share the cultural wealth of Bolivia with the rest of the world. The facade of Atix highlights the use of local, noble materials, including native wood and Comanche stone, which was used to pave the streets of La Paz throughout the decades of the 1920’s and 1930’s. Private photography and art collection created by Gastón Ugalde, also known as the “Andean Andy Warhol,” on exhibit in its rooms and common areas. Each of the 53 rooms and suites are a lesson in earthy simplicity. A neutral color palette is accented by oversized headboards rendered from indigenous wood, and hand-crafted furniture. Ona Restaurant with an innovative menu designed to create a highdining experience with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. At +591 Bar, you will find an innovative menu of Bolivian cocktails influenced by the country’s flavors, colors, and narrative, all to be served beside the rooftop infinity pool. Set in the exclusive neighborhood of Calacoto, located 20 minutes away from downtown and also ideally situated for a warmer climate and lower altitude.
