Aparthotel Stare Miasto (Kraków, Poland)

In the centre of Krakow’s Old Town and an easy walk to major attractions such as Wawel Castle and the Galeria Krakowska Shopping Center, the Stare Miasto was the perfect place for guests to stay while exploring Krakow. They also enjoyed the hotel bar and restaurant and sometimes found it difficult to choose between eating at the hotel or one of the many restaurants in the immediate area. Those who ate breakfast at the hotel said it was well presented and delicious. Guests also commented on the helpful staff and appreciated assistance with tours and airport shuttles.

The modern and stylish exposed brick and wood decor of the Stare Miasto’s apartments was a great hit with guests. They liked the light filled rooms, the comfortable beds and efficient design. For most guests the apartments, with well equipped kitcheonettes and pleasant seating areas to relax in before a night on the town, had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Some guests recommended splashing on an upgraded room with a Jacuzzi.

Guests felt that Stare Miasto’s attractive accommodations, central location and moderate prices added up to very good value.

While aesthetically pleasing, the low sloping ceilings in some apartments on the top floor were a bit uncomfortable for taller guests. Some complained that this arrangment meant that half the room was unusable.

The noise of construction starting as early as 7 a.m. was annoying and inconvenient to many guests at the hotel. They reported banging, sawing, drilling and constant hammering and felt the staff weren’t very sympathetic to complaints. Other guests commented on noise from neighbouring rooms and from the street below.

A few guests complained about uncomfortable sofa beds and thin pillows.
