Amsterdam Village Hotel oozes with charm, and guests felt that they had stumbled on a hidden gem. From the fantastic views to the historical decor, guests thought that they were getting a true taste of the Netherlands. If you are looking to travel to windmills, nearby fishing villages, and want easy access to the Antwerp ring road, this might be the place for you.

Meals at this hotel exceeded most expectations. With the exception of a breakfast that left a bit to be desired, guests felt that this hotel's strong point was in the delicious preparation of local specialities.

Guests were amazed at the strength of the Wi-Fi. There were no complaints with an efficient signal that always kept guests connected.

Guests hoping to save some money by staying outside of Amsterdam were often let down. Transportation wasn't easily accessible on foot, and some guests found out the hard way that bus schedules were erratic or weren't running at all, especially on weekends. Taxis into the city were expensive, and an added hit to the wallet was the extra fee for parking both bikes and cars.

While included in the cost of the room, guests would have rather passed on the lacklustre breakfast. Only early birds were assured a good selection, and many found that breakfast shut down quickly. Items weren't always restocked, and guests were sometimes left with empty stomachs.

While many guests had uneventful stays, some had unpleasant interactions with hotel staff. Customer service in general was found to be lacking, and staff didn't seem overly interested in ensuring a great visit for guests. Some gave hotel staff points for speaking English, but otherwise felt that staff needed to brush up on their customer service skills.
