Several guests appreciate the free shuttle service that goes to Funchal centre several times each day. The walk to city centre is a long one and difficult for some. The free transportation allows guests to enjoy more areas of interest with ease.

A few guests mention the large size of the rooms in comparison to other hotels. Plenty of room is available for extra beds or cribs, guest say. Several say that this is especially beneficial for families.

Quite a few guests mention the old appearance of the rooms. Some say that the carpets are badly worn in guest rooms and a handful mention a musty smell. Many guests note that minor upgrades in linens and furnishings would significantly improve the rooms. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served as buffets which include the same variety of food each day.
